The three stretches to alleviate lower back pain (if you work from home, try this)

Good friend of mine, Spencer Gregory is filling in during this blog post to give you guys science backed (he is currently in the process of getting his Doctorate of Physical Therapy) stretches on alleviating lower back pain. You might be asking yourself, "Why does this matter","I don't feel it right now, so why should I try this?", or if you're in pain, "Why haven't I seen this sooner?". Haha, any of those questions are valid.

Well I'll tell you why.

You ever seen someone on the hospital gurney right before surgery, or on the physical therapy table (with Spencer) yes, getting better, but aching in pain? Do you think they knew that they would be there, or even what got them there? NO!

I am guilty of this too, a lot of times we think that since we are not in pain now, we are not susceptible to experiencing pain in the future; in this case lower back pain.

Just to drive the point forward, studies found that in the U.S, lower back pain causes 149 million workdays to be missed each year, and with estimated costs of $100-200 Billion (2/3 of which is lost wages and productivity), this is something that could save you and people you love, time, money, freedom to move (1-3).

On that positive note,

Spencer, take us away!
