The daily ritual to ensure my immune system

Hot, heat! I am lucky to have an infrared sauna in my basement, that was gotten off of FB marketplace, or Amazon for cheap. Someone else bought it that I live with!


Now, when using this piece of equipment I want to go into the specific routine I do to ensure the greatest health benefits that get produced through the heat stress, and improved immune system and longevity responses that come from heat shock proteins that get produced this hormetic stressor.


I love how sauna use lengthens the telomeres of our DNA, which can decrease the amount we age, and is directly related to the measure of our lifespan. Sauna, along with other lifestyle actions can actually lengthen our telomeres, whereas other detrimental lifestyle habits will shorten the telomeres, leading to increased age and lifespan markers.



I do this to increase my lifespan, and health through my longevity. I want to live a full life for a long, good time, and this is one of the tools that helps me get there!




For my plan to use the sauna, I follow a specific routine that was shown to increase lifespan by as much as 30% in Finnish studies on people who used the sauana in a specific way there.


Using the sauna 5X a week, for 20 minutes a day


Had the greatest affect on health markers, and decrease of all cause mortality in the huge Finnish studies that was done on millions of people, because so many people have saunas there. Works out pretty well, huh?


I have access to an infrared sauna as mentioned above, but using a traditional sauna still gets the same rewards and benefits as that is actually what was used in the study, because it is a traditional Finnish sauna.

I use a traditional sauna too, but it only gets to about 130-150 degrees Fahrenheit, from my guess.. Traditional Finnish saunas get much hotter.


They also usually follow it with cold (just by stepping outside in the snow), and I do this getting in the cold shower for anywhere in the time length of 30 seconds to 2 minutes, just to wash off the sweat, and have the contrast of temperatures also put me in an amazing state Of mental peace and clarity that it provides, and for the flush effect of positive hormones being pumped and shuttled through my veins.


I can go more into detail into what these other hormones are that are great for our health, which is why I call them "positive".
